The FLIR Thermovision Thermosight 50mm. RS170A is a shock-resistant, dual-purpose
Thermal Imaging Weapon Sight and a Pocket Scope. Designed for military special operation units, the
FLIR Thermovision Thermosight 50mm. RS170A has an electronic born sighting capability, and provides clear imagery
through total darkness, fog, smoke and most visual obscurants. It will run for over
4 hours on standard AA batteries and has a bellows eye cup for covert operation.
Dual-use, mission configurable:
The FLIR Thermovision Thermosight 50mm. RS170A can be used as a Pocket Scope for scouting or can be configured as
a
Weapon-Mounted Sight
. It is smaller and weighs less than competitive dual-use
products and features a standard weapon rail-mount bracket compatible with a
Picatinny rail.
Selectable silent mode:
With a selectable silent operating mode and a shuttered eye-piece the FLIR Thermovision Thermosight 50mm. RS170A
allows an operator to remain covert even during demanding night missions. Tested
under fire, the
FLIR Thermovision Thermosight 50mm. RS170A Thermal Weapon Sight
is based on a proven miniature
Infrared Camera Technology.
Image capture:
The FLIR Thermovision Thermosight 50mm. RS170A will capture and internally store up to 70 images at a time. A supplied
USB 2.0 adapter cable included with each camera allows the image transfer from
the FLIR Thermovision Thermosight 50mm. RS170A to a computer via USB 2.0.
Simple operation:
One button allows an operator to toggle between black-hot or white-hot image
polarity superimpose and then adjust an electronic reticle to boresight the weapon,
or manually change contrast and brightness to optimize the image quality.
