The Multi-use ATN NVM14-CGT is a high performance modular, hand-held passive night vision monocular. It utilizes a single filmless DEP CGT intensifier tube to provide crisp, clear images under the darkest conditions. The ATN NVM14-CGT "single tube / single eyepiece" approach to night vision scope is based upon the proven concept that independent use of each eye maximizes the ability of the user to operate under a wide range of low light conditions. This tactic tends to enhance the field of view while reducing the risks of temporary night blindness typically associated with night vision goggles. With the ATN NVM14-CGT, the user retains his full peripheral vision in the unaided eye in conjunction with the 40 deg F.O.V. offered by the night vision device. The ATN NVM14-CGT can be hand-held or installed on a variety of standard and optional headmount/helmet mount assemblies for hands free use. The highly modular design also allows the ATN NVM14-CGT to be installed on reflex cameras and camcorders using an optional adapter. The integrated near-IR illuminator enhances the ability of the user to read maps and operate in confined spaces. NVM-14 can be hand held or installed in a standard PVS-7 head-mount, or it can be installed in an optional dual-carriage head-mount, providing a dual eye configuration. The ATN NVM-14 is smaller and lighter then the Mil Spec PVS-14, and is fully submersible to a depth of 66 feet (20 Meters). The NVM-14 works with either a single AA, or 3.5 volt lithium battery offering more flexibility and longer battery life. The integrated IR illuminator enhances the ability of the user to read maps, and operate in confined spaces. The NVM14-CGT is compatible with most all weapon mounted IR laser aiming and illuminating devices.
